Anyway, nice idea, but I couldn't understand a word. Hence the 0 for humor, I have no idea what's going on. But it's probably very good to experiment more with this clay stop-motion.

I think you missed the point

I saw in one of the responses to the reviews that you "still don't get this song". I think that's the problem. The two guys and the devil don't seem to DO anything. They just stand and move their head when it's their line, or they squeeze their eyes together when a difficult note is sung. You didn't add anything - most ideas were taken directly from the original video (the demon playing the guitar solo etc.). And you skipped most of the details ("Whip-crack went his shrumpy tail!"), which you should have used to add your own imagination. Sorry, but this didn't do anything for me.

Hmmm, we never watched the original music video. I was not even aware Tenacious D created one. But we were just taking pretty much everything literally, first music video and all, just wanted to do things slow and this song was real easy to just follow the story of it rather than have some abstract meaning to it. Character Designs were also really basic, so I dont know how much else we could have done things differently for certain actions. And I dont really believe we missed out on MOST details as you said, Whip Crack was probably the only thing we didn't do in the whole song because well he didnt even have a tail.

Great work

Great stuff. You chose an original minimalistic approach, stressing the awkwardness. It was very funny to watch Kage while Jack was making the order. You also did a great job on the lip-syncing. If I have one criticism, it's that some of Jack's outbursts could have gotten more attention - make him a little bit more psycho to increase the aforementioned awkwardness. I hope you'll make more movies.

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate minimalism. Lol. It's all I'm really good at. Me and a friend are working on some more stuff right now as a matter of fact, same kind of style (two guys sitting around talking) Hopefully I can have something to show soon, but between school and work, it's hard to find time to animate. Disappointing

If you really want to be controversial, make a graphic killing scene. Now it's just: I.J. enters room, boy is scared that I.J. might kill him, I.J. kills him and leaves the room. That's not interesting enough by far. The same goes for the Mr. Happy Face. Just make it longer, nastier, more dynamic and be prepared for all the hurt reactions from faithful Jesus lovers - you can make it worth it.

Worth its high ratings

The idea works very nicely, but it could have been better - it takes a bit too long before it actually gets interesting. The song gives many opportunities for jokes (like when they take off their headgear and start headbanging) and though hit lots of nails on the head, I think you missed quite a few (MAGNIFICO-O-O-O-O for example).

Now, all you did was emphasize how abortion ends a life that has already begun. Which is of course sad. You on the other hand only put emphasis on how terrible it looked. And that is nonsense. The embryo's aren't tortured to death, but you make it seem so. I don't know where you got the pictures from but normally they don't let the embryo or pieces from it pose with a coin after they're done.
That said: abortions most of the time aren't performed to keep the unborn baby from leading a happy life. Imagine a girl who got pregnant after a rape. Imagine her raising a kid that wasn't conceived in love and causes her pain of memory everytime she looks at it. A lot of kids nowadays are raised pretty badly, you know. Think about that.

- It makes perfect sense actually, to counter the lie of those who say that the unborn is 'just a mass of formless tissue'. No, these are small human beings, recognizably human, and that lie will no longer be believed after seeing these photos.

- Here you betray your ignorance on the subject. These babies are not administered any type of anesthesia in the womb before being dismembered. And they are capable of feeling pain long before birth. And to avoid damaging the mother, the limbs of the baby has to be ripped off very slowly by the physician. So, imagine having your arm grasped by sharp metal tongs, and then, very slowly, spun until the bone, flesh, and gristle have been so thoroughly twisted that they just snap off, imagine that pain.

- You obviously didn't watch the whole thing then, since it's in the credits. Check AbortionNO.org. They paid an abortionist for access to his aborted remains in his clinic. Basically he'll do anything for money, including murdering babies, and then letting their bodies be photographed.

- There's a ton of people waiting to adopt, with happy two parent families, so don't give me that. Sex is not something that is inevitable, it is a free choice with its own consequences. Abortion merely shifts those consequences from the mother and father to the baby, with deadly results. I say people should be responsible for their own decisions, not pass them on to their children. How fair would it be if your mother ran up a million dollar debt then passed it on to you. That wouldn't even be as bad as if your mom got the death penalty for some crime and then they executed you instead and let her go. That's the unfairness of abortion, murdering the entire future of our children just to save a couple months of inconvenience before you could adopt it away to a loving home.

- So in other words they might have an unhappy life therefore kill them? What about people who are born horribly deformed, should we kill them too? Rape is a terrible thing, but even that does not justify murder of innocents. I say kill the rapist, not the baby!

The only difference between you and an unborn baby is age and time to grow. If a girl and a guy choose to have sex and by that produce a baby, knowing that pregnancy COULD result, then they have chosen to accept that risk of pregnancy, and if it then occurs can be asked by society to bear the consequences of that decision that they freely chose. It is not a disease or parasite that attacks you apart from your own will. You have willed or decided to become pregnant by engaging in activities you know can make you pregnant. And since the result is another human being with a right to its own body, we should ensure that the irresponsibility of mothers and fathers does not result in the death of the only completely innocent persons on the planet: the unborn. It's so pathetically easy to make such a movie... you choose to make it as violent as possible, amplified (read: made even more banal) by using this music, and then all the blood-horny people can jerk off to it and give you a 5. Maybe they won't even notice how horrendous your drawing is!

I bloody love it. It has an effect on me similar to minimal music. Which is something to be darn proud of.
