Hey man

I love the sound of this ditty, but it stays too much in the same lane... I think it really lacks a melody. It's soothing enough but with a little more detail I would be urged to listen to it more often.
Keep em coming!

pitbulljones responds:

yea i know what your saying mate, there is a melody for the song but me singer's moved to holland and he's got the lyrics, so i'm buggered there really as i can't sing for toffee. i never see my tunes as a finished product either they're always a work in progress so if i manage to bang lyrics on and develop some hooks for it'll be striaght on here, anyways thanks for listening to it and i'll be posting some new tracks in the coming weeks.

Hey man, awesome

Excellent title :)
It's very good. Only thing it lacks is a real jazzy guitar solo. I just downloaded it so maybe I'll add one myself, hehe.
Anyway, beautiful arrangement, really diverse. The tempo increase at the end is not what I consider the best part of the song, but it's interesting at least. Great job.
Wanna listen to some of my stuff?

LaymanLove responds:

Dude! DO IT! I'm all for a killer solo. Sheeeit, tell me where you want to put it and I'll clear you some room. Haha, thanks for the review.

Very nice.

Except for the drums - I agree on that with other reviewers, they sound underwhelming. You can get new samples, or try to experiment with combinations. Usually, a clap combined with a snare gives a much fuller sound. Combine a bass drum with a cowbell at half the volume. Etc. This can even give decent beats in MIDI.
Otherwise good job and keep it up and whatnot, you're obviously talented and skilled.

DarkOtaku responds:

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely update this. It'll be a shame to loose these reviews though. v_v

Hahaha

Wow, that was funny. I've never heard anything so randomly thrown together that still was fun to listen to! 4/5

IslandofGarry responds:

Thanks ^_^

Cool stuff

Nice and atmospheric man, I dig it. Too bad the drums sound a bit fuzzy (hence the 7 for clarity), but otherwise very nice.
Check out some of my stuff.

PERVOK responds:

They aren't fuzzy, they are just quiet.

Thanks for the review.

Look,

there's really nothing to review about this. It's two percussion samples. Does it sound like a gunshot? No, not exactly, but it can be used as a base groove for a song. Try that.

arsenaldagun responds:

it was a simple background sound i made and thought somebody might want to use it, as for the gunshots it was the closest thing i could relate it to, and yes i will try and make a song for it but only when i get more equipment for it.

Technically, it's not jazz...

...but who cares. It's soothing and beautifully arranged. What software are you using?
Great work. 5/5 from me.

Check out some of my music.

ParkCafeMusic responds:

Thanks for the good review! The software is a really low-end version of Logic Audio, but the voices were all hardware-based, from my keyboard, which is a Yamaha DGX-505.

An interesting beat.

Not bad, definitely not bad. I think dynamically it lacks a bit. It takes a while before the beat really kicks in and then it kinda consumes the string melody, which stops it from being catchy. But the beat itself is very varied and ingenious. 4/5 from me.

WizardSleeve responds:

thank you very much, this is quite old and i hear many problems with it now, but i still like the general idea of it. I am gald you did too :)

margarine responds:

:D
I wish I could remember how the fuck to play this. Should have written it down methinks...

Right, that's it.

I'm coming back everyday to give this 5/5's so it will stay on top of the page.

margarine responds:

Haha! Thank you! I think you can only vote once though? I might be wrong about that...
